Aznavour Foundation's statement on Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) escalation

On September 27th, early in the morning, Azerbaijan launched heavy missile and artillery attacks along the entire line of contact with Artsakh targeting also the peaceful settlements, including the capital Stepanakert. As a result, more than 200 people were injured and many died according to official sources.

Armenian officials stated that neither Armenia nor Artsakh wishes for war, but both states and its people are ready to protect their motherland and its peaceful population from the enemy attacks.
“As a person whose ancestors saw horrors of the Genocide, war, poverty and hunger, I know the value of peace for each and every Armenian. We, at the Aznavour Foundation, strongly condemn the aggression of the military-political leadership of Azerbaijan against the Republic of Artsakh. I want to address the big international community and state that peaceful people, their lives, homes and future is under danger right now. I believe that no one wants to lose their beloved ones at war and firmly ask you to speak up in order to prevent the escalation of the conflict”
highlights Nicolas Aznavour, the Co-founder and Chairman of the Aznavour Foundation.
