On December 21, a memorandum of cooperation was signed at the Ministry of Health between Fukushima Masanori - Japanese Ambassador to Armenia and Kristina Aznavour - CEO of the Aznavour Foundation.
With the support of the grant program of the Japanese Government and the Aznavour Foundation, a pathohistological laboratory will be created in the Vanadzor Medical Center of Lori region. The laboratory will correspond to international standards and equipped with 7 state-of-art diagnostic medical devices.
As a result, it will now become possible to conduct complex histological and cytological examinations in the regional medical center. Project implementation will contribute to the development of surgery, oncology and endoscopic surgery departments in regions.
RA Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan, Lori Deputy Governor Hovhannes Avetisyan, Vanadzor Medical Center Director Vahagn Mkrtchyan were present at the signing ceremony.
