Humanitarian Aid For the Forcibly Displaced Population of Artsakh
Status: Completed
In the wake of Azerbaijan’s military aggression that forced the displacement of the Armenians of Artsakh, the Aznavour Foundation, inspired by Charles Aznavour's spirit of compassion and urgency of supporting those in need, embarked on a mission to help the affected population.
Social
Strategy of intervention
In line with the humanitarian vision of its founder, the Aznavour Foundation seeks, through the implementation of this project, to generate fresh opportunities for positive transformations and contribute to sustainable development in the region.
After consulting with various Armenian government agencies and coordinating with other NGOs operating on-site, we determined that one of the most urgent needs for the displaced population was the provision of baby food (infant formula and porridge) and hygiene products (diapers) for the little ones.
In collaboration with state officials, we gathered data on families with children aged 0 to 35 months who have settled in the regions most densely populated by the displaced population. After thorough processing of this data (direct calls and surveys with families), we established a comprehensive list of beneficiaries, encompassing 800 children aged 0 to 35 months.
Distribution Map
With the contribution of volunteer groups coordinated by the Foundation's team, we assembled 800 packages for each beneficiary. The food products included in each package catered to the needs of each child for a period of 5 months.

The product kits were then shipped to
9 designated cities identified as distribution points: Stepanavan, Vanadzor, Nairi, Yerevan, Artashat, Vedi, Ararat, Hrazdan and Charentsavan. The kits were distributed not only to the displaced population settled in these cities but also to beneficiaries residing in the surrounding village communities.

The targeted distribution to beneficiaries was implemented in collaboration with the municipalities of the mentioned cities, as well as with our partners such as "SPFA" (Solidarité Protestante France-Arménie) and the "Goy" Foundation.
Partnership Appreciation
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Bullukian Foundation, “Aznavour For Armenia” Association, Veolia Foundation and Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem for their generous contribution to the project;
"SPFA" (Solidarité Protestante France-Arménie) for its immense support in distribution, as well as volunteers and other partners who have secured the success of this mission.
