Call for Applications: the Aznavour Foundation launches Phase II of the “Economic Empowerment for Widows of War” project
This initiative aims to support the countless courageous women who lost their loved ones in the aftermath of the 44-day war in Artsakh and the displacement of the Armenian population. By fostering entrepreneurship and providing targeted financial assistance the project will help establish businesses in various fields, empowering and uplifting widows affected by conflict.
Both aspiring and experienced women entrepreneurs are eligible to apply.
Grant Conditions
A mandatory requirement for grant eligibility is the availability of own financial contribution to the business project. The applicant’s contribution must represent at least 10% of the total project budget. Expenses incurred prior to the launch of the program are not considered as own contributions.
Grants are awarded to legal entities. If the applicant does not hold legal entity status at the time of application, she must register as an individual entrepreneur or a limited liability company in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Armenia prior to signing the grant agreement, should the grant be approved.
Only actual and justified expenses will be financed under the program. Agricultural projects are not eligible for funding.

Preference will be given to applicants with prior entrepreneurial experience.
Maximum grant amount: AMD 2,200,000.
Eligibility Criteria
Widows of individuals who died as a result of military hostilities during 2020–2023, registered and permanently residing in the Republic of Armenia.
Copy of the applicant’s passport and social security card or ID
Marriage certificate
Document confirming widow status (death certificate)
Certificate of legal entity registration (if applicable)
Copies of children’s birth certificates (if applicable)
Proof of financial status (bank statement of the applicant or legal entity for the last 6 months)
In case of financial obligations — copies of loan agreements and other relevant documents
Submission of Applications
Grant application packages (including the completed application form, budget, and all required documents) must be submitted by 15 March 2026, 18:00 (Yerevan time) to the following email address:

Late and/or incomplete applications will not be considered.
Evaluation Procedure
Applications will be evaluated in two stages by a committee established specifically for this purpose.
Candidates who successfully pass the first stage will be invited to an interview.
Candidates who do not pass the first stage will be notified by email.
